This year I faced many trials. Some of which broke my heart. Some of which broke other hearts. To those I've hurt I say sorry. To those that hurt mine, I apologize. As I thought what to write for my first blog, I reflected on goals I've set. In January of this year, I set a goal to either start my vlog, blog, or to give up on that dream. Today I make that dream come true. In doing so, I'd like to share how I've felt in the process of getting to this point through one of my classic poems. This one was meant for another post originally, but I decided it would be better to share now:
I let you in
You cried with me
I let you see
You spent time with me
I let you hurt
You broke my heart
I let you love
You sewed it up
I let you be
You came back to me
I let you share
You inspired me
I let you fight
You fought with me
I let you win
You fought for me
I let you smile
You smiled for me
I did all of this
for you
And you for me
We are a team
both you and me
When I was wrong
You did not care
You let me in
I let you in
One of my goals this year was to be more open to those around me. I hope this can be a good introduction for future blogs to come (and yes many of them will have my sappy, satirical, farcical, or outright confusing poems). Life is meant to be lived to the fullest. And that includes an occasional note from the Hart.
